Experience
I graduated from Ohio State, where I studied Middle Childhood Education. I also had a focus on English and Math. I then moved on from OSU to Lewis University where I obtained my master's in Education. Currently, I work at a middle school teaching 6th grade students. While I love the field of writing, I also have a passion for math. I know that math can be one of the most confusing subjects for younger children. It certainly was the topic I most struggled with when I was younger. Therefore, I focus a lot on assisting them in this subject and helping them comprehend the basics. You will find that my teaching style is interesting and unique. Children need to be taught in a fun way in order for them to retain what they have learned. For example, I base my teaching methods off of what the student finds interesting. If a student has a love for sports, I will then come up with a plan to teach the subject based on their love of sports. This is a great way to keep a child interested, and it is also a great way to entice the child so that he or she finds learning to be appealing.
