Teachers can have a lasting impact on your life. I was fortunate enough to have a teacher who influenced my life and teaching style. From him, I learned how to make education enjoyable and interesting for students. To me, it is important that a student be comfortable with both the subject and their teacher. Over the years, I have built up a passion for learning. I believe that I can share this and, hopefully, pass on my passion to others. Presently, I am a biology teacher at Tri-C, however, I have been teaching since I began working on my graduate degree. I have experience teaching ecology, general biology, physiology, and anatomy. I am also available to tutor in environmental science, life sciences, and physical science. Out of all of these subjects, I am most passionate about ecology. This subject allows me to participate in one of my favorite hobbies: getting out and exploring nature. I currently reside in Parma, Ohio. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biology from Grove City College. I furthered this by attending Cleveland State University and obtaining my Master of Arts in biology. Most recently, I received my PhD in zoology from Ohio State. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy taking hikes in the woods, going fishing, and reading sci-fi and fantasy novels.
