My name is Jacob, and I live in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. I received my bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and eventually plan to complete a master's degree, and maybe continue on even further. I'm a capable tutor for students of all ages, but I have extensive experience tutoring students for standardized test preparation, whether it's PSAT, SAT, ACT, or GRE. I do my best to prepare students so that they face test day with confidence in their ability and the necessary tools to achieve their target test score. I find that students learn best through an interactive approach of discussion and collaborative explanation, rather than lectures and memorization. I encourage students to build their concepts on top of the basics, and learn to use their intuition and problem-solving skills to arrive at a solution. I'm qualified to tutor you or your student in reading, grammar/mechanics, essay writing/editing, English, and AP English literature and composition. I'm also happy to help with homework support and study skills/organization, to help your student stay on top of their classes and make the most of study time.In my spare time I pursue many creative endeavors, including acting, writing, storytelling, and juggling.
